Blackpool Magic Convention 2011 will run from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th February at the Opera House - Winter Gardens Blackpool. Milt Larsen, the founder of The Magic Castle Hollywood, has emailed to say that my Giclee fine art print of Ali Bongo has finally arrived after a rather adventurous journey. It was inadvertently placed on the roof of Milt’s car and was lost and later found on the Freeway in Santa Barbara. As Milt humorously remarks in his email, ‘Ali always loved to travel’!
Terry Seabrooke, who will be appearing at the Magic Castle in late August in a tribute to Billy McComb, has the full story. When framed, the print will be on permanent display at the Academy of Magical Arts, (part of the Magic Castle). In 2001 Ali received the AMA's Master Fellowship, the highest award the Academy can bestow. See the Magic Castle website www.magiccastle.com
